JOB DESCRIPTION Permanent Sydney - Full Time - Hybrid - Associate We are looking for a Privacy Specialist to join the Office of General Counsel (OGC) team. You will be responsible for assisting PwC to manage its privacy obligations across a broad range of business activities while dealing closely with all areas and levels of the organisation in a supportive and dynamic team environment. Your advice on privacy related issues will help shape new business offerings, and help ensure compliance with a range of privacy laws that impact PwC. As a Privacy Specialist in the Office of General Counsel your impact will be seen by: Responding to requests through the Privacy Office mailbox Processing opt-out, deletion, access and correction requests from individuals Drafting Privacy Impact Assessments in relation to business proposals Advising on privacy obligations Assisting with responses to data incidents Assisting with responses to external inquiries in relation to privacy and data protection Working closely with PwC's, legal, risk and compliance teams and other relevant stakeholders; and Providing focussed and pragmatic solutions to address privacy risks. About You: You have at least 2 years experience in a relevant field such as legal, risk or compliance You have experience in privacy advice, privacy compliance frameworks and privacy documents You have knowledge of Australian privacy and data protection law An experience with overseas privacy regimes, such as GDPR, is desirable You have confidence in dealing with a range of stakeholders (both in written and verbal communications), including an ability to draft clear and precise documents and communications You have excellent interpersonal and commercial skills, as well as an ability to build relationships and influence with impact You have the ability to identify and consider critical and key issues, assess and articulate privacy risks (including likelihood and impact) so the business can make informed, risk-based commercial decisions You have the ability to prioritise tasks and manage workflow expectations.
