Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and experienced Privacy Analyst to join our team. The Privacy Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our organization adheres to relevant privacy regulations and standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to raise privacy awareness, provide guidance to project teams, facilitate Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure compliance and mitigate privacy risks. Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to raise privacy awareness and promote a culture of privacy compliance. Provide expert guidance and support to project teams to ensure that privacy considerations are integrated into all projects and initiatives. Undertake and/or facilitate Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) to identify and mitigate privacy risks associated with new projects, systems, or processes. Work closely with senior stakeholders to communicate privacy requirements, risks, and mitigation strategies effectively. Assist in developing and implementing privacy policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with relevant regulations and industry standards. Stay updated on emerging privacy laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness of privacy programs. Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy-related matters and provide training and education to employees as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification in privacy or related field preferred. Minimum of (X) years of experience in privacy, data protection, or related field, with demonstrated experience in privacy compliance, risk assessment, and project management. In-depth knowledge of privacy laws, regulations, and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.). Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex privacy issues and develop practical solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and familiarity with privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) is highly desirable.
