Who You'll Work With You will be based in Sydney and will be part of our Staffing and Professional Development (PD) team. You will report directly to the PD Director and work closely with the rest of the staffing and PD team and in collaboration with the partners in charge of people and recent graduates. This team focuses on managing the staffing, development, key processes and special initiatives for our recent joiners. What You'll Do You will be working with practice leaders, partner group, and other leaders to create vibrant and exciting community where people, individually and collectively, behave like owners, feel cared for and closely connected, and have a full range of opportunities. Examples include: effectively on-boarding new consultants to ensure they understand the basics for how McKinsey works and feel connected to the practice, keeping a finger on the pulse of the consultants and effectively engaging the partners when issues arise, helping to design and lead learning and connectivity programs (e.g., connectivity events, specific upskilling sessions), partnering to deliver priority OKRs and AUO PD initiatives (e.g., Team Experience). In this role, you will review and implement relevant policies appropriate to help resolve people issues and demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and care for confidentiality. Further, you will develop a trust-based professional relationship with each consultant, by developing a professional relationship with our consultants that includes an in-depth understanding of the individual's professional development aspirations, experience, strengths, development needs, and relevant personal circumstances - both on an on-going basis and around specific engagements. You will lead the staffing function, together with Partner and the regional PD and Staffing team to ensure consultants are appropriately staffed to teams and provide guidance on staffing; ensure consultants receive the required development opportunities while balancing and reflecting client service needs; provide these consultants with formal and informal feedback related to their staffing and evaluations. You will also be part of the Semi Annual Review process, working closely with our People Committee leaders to drive and manage the review process for consultants in your region. This role will provide you an opportunity to contribute to various initiatives, including team satisfaction, health and wellbeing, community building, local trainings and diversity and inclusion. Lastly, you will work with PD Administrator to ensure information is up to date and accurate in all required people systems.
