This is a rare opportunity for a highly influential and commercially astute Senior Contract Manager to join Lockheed Martin Australia to drive this strategic, innovative and best in class program working closely with the Commonwealth, on behalf of one of the world largest defence primes.
As a natural leader and with strategic situational awareness you will build strong relationships within the organisation, the government and other relevant suppliers / contributors.
Seen as an enabler, with your natural programme focus you will be able to mould the contract to enhance commercial and operational effectiveness and will anticipate needs while bringing strong governance and a critical focus on understanding relevant approvals and processes.

Your responsibilities will include:
Providing expert commercial oversight, management and governance to the business within assigned responsibility Incorporating contractual strategies to reduce business risk and increase revenue through tailoring of contracts / subcontracts Identify innovative commercial solutions to improve delivery performance, reduce costs, address performance issues and increase business revenues Working with the Program Managers / Business Leads (Canberra & Adelaide), generate new business by working directly with the customer to identify opportunities to provide additional services, redirect budget to capture opportunities and shape future customer direction Working with Business / Program Managers (Canberra & Adelaide) to generate internal and external business cases in support of capture opportunities Working with sourcing and import / export to ensure consistency and all requirements are met Detailed knowledge of business management policies and procedures Strong Commercial skills and specialised understanding of commercial approaches in a multi domain environment Excels in customer, strategic supplier and senior stakeholder engagement with the aim of shaping optimal commercial outcomes for the business Understanding of Intellectual Property rights and obligations Demonstrated experience working within an engineering or project environment (preferably within the defence industry) This role offers a generous salary and options for flexiblity including a 9 day fortnight and support for working from home as appropriate to fulfill the requirements of this role.
