The Project
My client is looking for a Senior Contracts Manager to deliver a $350M health infrastructure project located in Western Sydney. The successful candidate will lead a team reporting to the Project Director & Commercial Manager.
Duties & Responsibilites Assist in the negotiations of head contract conditions pursuant to the company's recommended benchmarks. Manage and monitor the subcontract/supplier conditions of the contract for each project to mirror the conditions of the Head Contract. Oversee the timely issue of cost reports, current position of subcontractors, subcontract agreements, and insurance policies. Attend tender handover meetings to obtain the background for each project and set the timing for project cost reports. Each project must be reported monthly. In conjunction with the respective administrator ensure that current information has been compiled in readiness for the cost meeting ie: latest tender costs, labour costs, programme for completion. Manage and provide direction for the handling of any Head/Subcontract dispute and/or insurance claim. Obtain legal advice as agreed with the State Manager to ensure that the company's interests are protected. Oversee subcontract negotiations, letting values and budget conformance for each subcontract entered. Qualifications Degree in Construction Management or other appropriate qualification or relevant experience. Solid experience in construction and management delivering projects up to $300M Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business. Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision-making skills. Proven ability to build and lead an effective result driven team. Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
