WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? Establish and maintain the company hardware development process Conduct hardware engineering career reviews Participate in recruitment of hardware engineers Participate in scheduling of hardware engineers on projects Ensure the hardware engineering team has the right resources and tools to conduct their work Inspire hardware teams to achieve project goals Manage the hardware laboratory budget Provide engineering expertise, when necessary, for specific projects Reporting to the Head of Engineering WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Experience in managing technical staff Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Solid understanding of and experience with electrical/electronics/RF engineering design Attention to detail, process oriented and excellent record keeping Appreciation of development processes within the defence sector Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment Minimum 10 years experience as an engineer with at least 3 years experience as an engineering lead Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering with a specialisation in electrical / electronics / RF or mechatronics engineering Live in South Australia or willing to relocate Be an AUSTRALIAN citizen (non-citizens are unable to be considered due to the nature of our work) Be eligible and willing to obtain an Australian Government security clearance and retain that clearance while employed by Ebor Systems Willingness to travel within Australia and overseas if needed Desirable requirements (not mandatory) Experience with defence projects and ASDEFCON Have an existing Australian Government clearance Registration as CPEng or eligible to be registered as CPEng with Engineers Australia WHAT CAN WE GIVE YOU?
