The Director of Development reports to the Assistant Vice President for Philanthropy & Engagement. The Director of Development will manage a portfolio of major gift donors ($25,000+) to raise funds for their assigned unit(s). This professional collaborates with Louisiana Tech University Foundation colleagues as well as faculty, staff, and administrative leadership on the Louisiana Tech campus to develop and implement an integrated fundraising strategy for the team to meet fundraising goals. Performance metrics will be determined annually by the Vice President for University Advancement pursuant to the Louisiana Tech University Foundation’s annual fundraising goals and University’s funding needs and priorities.Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor’s Degree Required.Previous experience with sales enablement platforms preferred.Demonstrated success in previous fundraising or sales experience preferred.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAbility to develop, maintain, and grow interpersonal relationships including with university alumni, donors and friends, administrators, faculty, students, and staff.Demonstrated ability to comfortably articulate a strong and compelling case for support and solicit gifts.Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to make effective presentations to large and small groupsExceptional goal orientation. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
