Management - Universities (Education & Training) St George's College is the oldest residential college at The University of Western Australia ('UWA)'), located directly opposite UWA between the Swan River and Kings Park. Established in 1931 by the Anglican Diocese of Perth, the mixed gender College has 270 resident students, enrolled predominantly in undergraduate courses at UWA with some residents attending other Perth universities. The College's precinct is a mix of modern and historic buildings with the Quadrangle and Chapel framed by notable gardens. After 12 successful years, Mr Ian Hardy is retiring as Warden, and the Board is seeking to appoint its new Warden and Head of College, to commence at the end of 2024/beginning of 2025. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and inspiring leader, preferably from the education or academic sector, who can lead and shape the future of St George's alongside the Board and Council, building on its UWA and Anglican foundations. A demonstrated capacity to lead in a complex educational, business, and residential environment is required. Well-developed leadership, personal, administrative, strategic and business planning skills are essential. The role requires an effective communicator who can engage closely with employees, residents and a diverse range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will possess relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of the Anglican Church of Australia. This senior role is critical to the ongoing success of St George's College and, as such an attractive remuneration package, which includes onsite accommodation, will be provided to secure the high calibre of person sought. A reasonable relocation package will be negotiated with the preferred candidate. An initial five-year contract will be offered.
