The PositionWe are looking for a Permanent Part-Time (0.5FTE) Staff Specialist in Psychiatry for an exciting position in New South Wales. Working across a Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (short-stay crisis unit) and its associated emergency department(s) within the Adult Inpatient Stream of the health districts Mental Health Service you will proactively. You will provide psychiatric assessment, treatment, care planning, and clinical oversight of patients in both settings using person centred, recovery-oriented, family/carer-inclusive, and trauma-informed principles of care. You will need to be an effective communicator, collaborator, leader, health advocate, scholar, and professional. You will proactively support the development of mental health services, facilitate a culture of learning and best practice, and participate in quality improvement and/or research efforts within the service.Health ServiceJust 90mins south of Sydney, this health district provides health services for around 400,000 people. It is one of the region's largest employers with a workforce of more than 8,500 staff operating eight hospital sites and providing community health services from approximately 58 locations across the region.
