We’re a UK-based deep tech start-up seeking a Senior Engineer to join our enthusiastic and rapidly growing team. Ideally, you’ll have 3+ years industry experience working with Robotics on a wide range of challenges in a fast-moving environment. The position will involve applying your skills to our exciting, robotics development.The role will involve tech leading the development of software for a mobile robotic platform. This will entail software development for a robotic platform e.g., robotic arm as well as mapping, alongside managing a team of 2-3 engineers.The RewardsInitial salary: £neg., depending on experience & personal attributesOpportunity for rapid career progressionAn opportunity to shape the direction of fast-moving start-upHighly flexible work hoursKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop novel, robotic platform algorithms for Oxford Dynamic’s core robotics product e.g., developing robotic arm control algorithms as well as mappingTech lead a team of 2-3 engineers to increase the TRL of Oxford Dynamics robotics productMinimum Qualifications & ExperienceBS, MS or Ph.D. degree in Robotics, Electromechanical Control Systems, Computer Science or related quantitative fieldExperience in hardware control of sensors and actuatorsExperience programming a robotic arm or similarStrong background in programming e.g., C, C++, PythonExperience using ROS 1, ROS 2, ROS Actions, Gazebo, RVizSuccessfully delivered projects as a tech lead manging teamsExperience in mapping environments using SLAM, Visual odometry etc. GIT workflow & controlPreferred Qualifications & ExperienceA portfolio of previous work (industry, Bachelors, semester, Masters, doctoral thesis, ...) in robotics (Github repository) or published papers in relevant robotics journals/conferences Experience with Git-workflow within a production teamExperience with Agile product developmentExperience of working in a start-upExperience presenting in front of project stakeholdersContract Type : Temporary OR PermanentOxford Dynamics is committed to creating an inclusive team experience for all.
