**Job Description**
Our Ground Engineering team is seeking an experienced Pavement Engineer and Senior Pavement Engineer to join our Sydney office.
Our Sydney pavement team has several long-term, TfNSW road upgrade projects, which provide solid base workload. In addition, they internally support our other teams with pavement designs for infrastructure-related projects, commercial and industrial developments, as well as for airside and ports-related projects.
As valued members of the Sydney Ground Engineering team, opportunities exist to be involved in projects from the earliest stages of planning, ground investigation, design, and all the way through to construction and operational management phases.
Your demonstrated experience will enable you to immediately contribute to the team.
However, ongoing personal development is a major driver of the AECOM business. AECOM provides support and mentoring locally and from the greater ANZ business to ensure our staff develop the skills and experience necessary to meet and exceed our client’s expectations.
Your role will include new pavement design, rehabilitation design, testing and pavement management advisory services. As part of this role you will be given the opportunity to travel and work on a range of assignments across NSW and to be part of the Australia and New Zealand technical practice group to aid in your professional development.
You will also assist in preparation of bids and proposals and attend meetings with contractors and clients, both external and internal and work on multi-disciplinary project design teams. Depending on your interest there is scope to become involved in the management of projects.
**Qualifications**
As a Pavement Engineer, you will be engaged, and excited by project delivery and the successful integration of varied specialist and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
Ideally you will have:
+ Relevant tertiary qualification
+ Experience across highways, industrial, maritime and airfields sectors would be highly regarded
+ Demonstrated experience in using pavement design software such as CIRCLY, Rubicon and HDM4 preferred
+ Willing to travel within Australia and overseas for limited periods
+ A current NSW driver’s license or a licence that can be readily converted to an NSW licence.
