Position: Senior Management Accountant DFP Perth are seeking an experienced Senior Mangement Accountant to engage on a temporary contract with a State Government agency based in Perth's CBD 0. Start Date: Immediately Length of Assignment: months Location: Perth CBD 0 Hours: hours per week Pay Rate: Level 6 – $, per annum Description: As a Senior Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in shaping financial strategies and decisions for the department and statutory authorities. You will contribute to the development and implementation of the internal budget framework, undertake budget submissions, financial analysis, and reporting to facilitate effective business management and decision-making. Responsibilities: Develop budget submissions for annual and mid-year review processes. Coordinate robust business cases to support funding submissions. Review Tariffs, Fees, and Charges (TF&C) in line with Treasury guidelines. Prepare annual budget papers and estimate hearing files. Conduct service costing and performance indicator calculations. Coordinate Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMP). Ensure accuracy of information in Treasury's Strategic Information Management System (SIMS). Liaise with Treasury on budget matters. Analyze and interpret complex financial data for monthly financial performance reports. Collaborate with business areas for full-year forecasting. Provide financial advice on government budget policies and directives. Partner with business areas to offer value-added financial advice. Assist in developing financial policies and procedures. Requirements: Considerable experience in management accounting and financial management, preferably in a medium to large organization. Proven expertise in accrual-based budgeting and resolving accounting-related problems. Substantial experience using complex financial management systems, with advanced Excel skills. Sound experience in developing accounting policies, procedures, and systems. Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills for analyzing complex financial information.
