Your new role Data Services is a newly established department in Fund Services that has the responsibility to establish a leading Data Governance, Management & Operations capability across all data domains in the Fund. This is a senior specialist role in Data Services and design enterprise grade data models that will allow the Fund to unlock value from its data assets. The role will also act as a data SME for the Fund. While requiring core data & technical skills, the focus of this role is not technology or solution architecture/design – this is a business focussed data role. The successful candidate will have significant experience and expertise delivering successful data modelling and data warehousing initiatives in large scale and complex data environments Some key responsibilities but not limited to; Develop a strong & trusted working relationship with data solution architects, the data engineering team & business stakeholders Design & implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models on various projects & BAU activities in line with business requirements and the Fund's data modelling standards – maintain these models on an ongoing basis Design and implement effective data management solutions within the Fund including data modelling, data repositories, metadata and master data management, and data integrity Adhere to modelling standards and guidelines and ensure documentation of data catalog, information architecture, lineage diagrams, master data solutions etc. Support the roll out of the Fund's data governance policies and standards Act as a SME & escalation point for data management best practices and complex data related issues Proactively engage with colleagues across the Fund and evangelise data management practices and the proper use of data to fully leverage its benefits What you'll need 7+ years' experience in a data modelling, data governance, enterprise information architecture or data management role Strong experience developing and implementing large scale data management capabilities including enterprise data models, designing data repositories, defining data structures and establishing data standards and best practices in large, complex environments Strong experience & advanced knowledge of data modelling methodologies like Inmon, Kimball, Data Value 2.0 Experience using data modelling tools like Erwin Advanced knowledge of the end-end data lifecycle, data management capabilities including metadata, data quality, master and reference data management Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to communicate highly technical topics to non-technical audiences Experience working with enterprise data warehouses and modern cloud data platforms like Azure and AWS Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change Life at AustralianSuper AustralianSuper is committed to colleague development, and we support our people with ongoing learning, coaching and training, as well as career opportunities across our expanding global organisation.
