About the Team
Workday is looking for a Senior Marketing Director to lead the company's field marketing efforts across the Australia and New Zealand region. This position is an excellent opportunity to lead Asia Pacific's largest region at a fast-growing software company that is rapidly expanding!
You will be directly leading an experienced team of individuals based in Sydney with a focus on Demand Generation. You will also marshal and align team members in the region that may have separate reporting lines including communications, digital, content and customer advocacy.About the Role As the Senior Marketing Director for the ANZ region, you will work closely with the other members of the Marketing, Sales, Solutions Consulting and Professional Services teams to build brand awareness and pipeline for the business. You will lead a team of dedicated marketing professionals across the ANZ region, ensuring we exceed our growth targets and bring ever more focus to our execution. This position is located in Sydney and will be a key part of the ANZ management team and the Asia Pac & Japan marketing leadership team.
Responsibilities include: Develop annual marketing plans for the region designed to drive brand recognition and build pipeline for Workday's solutions. Be a trusted advisor to the ANZ Management teams, aligning with the sales team on regular basis to drive planning and execution and ensuring timely and open communication channels. Ensure flawless execution across all planned marketing activities, marshaling the key team members to drive successful outcomes for the ANZ business. Identify audience and industry segmentation strategy; vehicle and media mix recommendation, timing and forecast of results. Drive integrated marketing campaigns from inception to optimization with a cross-functional corporate marketing team based in APAC and the US. This will include demand generation, brand awareness, events, field marketing, web/online marketing, communications and creative services. Work with appropriate groups (product marketing, sales, operations and strategy) to develop appropriate messaging platforms, content, and stories from which to build campaigns Manage, develop and elevate the ANZ local marketing team. Analyze campaign performance and make recommendations for optimization and future enhancements. Assess and execute on partner marketing opportunities. About You We are seeking a results-driven marketing professional with a proven ability to deliver commitments on time while achieving or exceeding business goals.
Basic Qualifications:
Leading marketing in a cloud-native SaaS company as ANZ marketing leader, OR has done this recently and currently leads field marketing for another region 15+ years of marketing experience in a SaaS, enterprise software, cloud environment A track record of team building and leadership at Director/Sr Director level Knowledge of the local ANZ B2B enterprise software market, preferably within HR and/or Financial applications Other Qualifications
Willing to travel within APAC and to HQ in the USA occasionally Strategically-minded but willing to be very hands on to get programs executed Proven ability to effectively execute integrated, streamlined marketing programs that drive pipeline, including industry specific campaigns Able to craft Workday's messaging to be directly relevant to ANZ audiences Able to articulate importance of customer voice throughout the marketing mix Proven track record of executing World-Class, creative events as part of an overall Demand Plan Ability to work with people at all levels of an organization including executive management, sales, and marketing Thought Leader on best practices and new thinking in marketing, with a passion for public speaking Understanding of how to engage C-Level audiences Ability to execute effective Social Media programmes in a B2B context Our Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we're combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
