Road & Rail Operational Compliance Officer - Sydney FMCGA LOOK AT THE ROLE:Joining one of Australia's leading food manufacturing companies boasting a diverse multi-modal supply chain network, the primary goal of this role is to ensure the utmost adherence to and surpassing of safety standards across all road and rail operations nationwide. This encompasses proficient supervision of the Chain of Responsibility and compliance with rail safety regulations, along with associated systems.As a direct report to the National Transport and Logistics Manager and a pivotal Compliance stakeholder for all national Road and Rail operations, you are entrusted with overseeing all operational compliance aspects relating to road and rail operations across the entire company.This includes ensuring the effective supervision of the road Chain of Responsibility and adherence to rail safety accreditation requirements, as well as managing associated systems.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Possess extensive Transport and Logistics operational process knowledge and experience ideally with exposure to COR, Fatigue Management, NHVR compliance across multiple business units.
Preferably, possess expertise in both road and rail transportation, however, proficiency in either road or rail will be considered adequate.
Demonstrate comprehensive familiarity with the company's transport providers and promptly address any safety or noncompliance concerns until resolved, including the implementation of effective solutions.
Possess high level ability to conduct reviews and audits.
Possess high level of documentation development, implementation and reporting.
High level interpersonal, negotiation and relationship building skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Highly Desirable
Knowledge of transport management in the Agribusiness or FMGG industries.
A proven track record in staff engagement, systems development, and project delivery.
Experience with SAP.
Physical Criteria - Ability to
Sit and stand for long periods of time.
Climb and descend stairs and ladders safely.
Work in proximity to loud equipment.
The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly
