The Role:
We are currently in search of a dedicated Project Lead to join our team at the Equity Project. As the Project Lead, you will play a pivotal role in realising the Project’s vision by fostering inspiration, facilitating processes, executing plans, and overseeing progress.
Working in close collaboration with the Chairperson of the Steering Committee and the Coordination Team, you will help steer the project towards its goals. The Coordination Team is composed of professionals from partner agencies, each contributing expertise in areas such as communications, research, and advocacy.
This position will be offered on a 12-month Fixed term part time basis, working 45 hours per fortnight.

Who Are We?
Developed in 2022 by a group of passionate Community Service Organisations, The Equity Project was developed with a primary goal of working together to harness their collective voice and mobilise communities to fight against poverty.
The Equity Project aims to:
Achieve public policy and systemic change to increase fairness and economic justice in WA. Strengthen public support, and enable citizen-led action, to increase fairness, economic justice, and compassion. Amplify the voice of people with lived experience of poverty. Promote solutions and policies that work towards achieving a fair and economically just society. The Equity Project has adopted the ‘New Power’ principles to enable and deliver this Project. The governance structure is networked and based on opt-in contributions – whether it is how it is funded, or who participates in the Working Groups.
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated understanding of the drivers of poverty and commitment to addressing inequality in Australia. Experience designing, planning, and leading strategy and advocacy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for different audiences, purposes, and mediums. High level interpersonal skills in building, maintaining, and strengthening relationships to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, partners, communities, and members of the public. Demonstrated capacity for creative thinking, a preparedness to experiment with new ideas and innovative approaches. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date) Unrestricted drivers’ licence What we can offer you:
