About the role Our Asset Investment Planning team have a permanent opportunity within Metro Networks for a Principal Drainage to provide technical expertise for the efficient and effective delivery of drainage network planning across southwest of WA. This role will be based in our Leederville office reporting to the Team Leader Drainage. What the role will involve Provide leadership and expertise relating to drainage network planning, and modelling including techniques and current practicesUndertake planning, modelling and report writing for drainage networks with high level of complexityProvide technical and strategic advice on drainage related queries to internal and external stakeholdersAssist in the development and review of business cases for asset investment planningManage project teams to address complex drainage and waterways engineering problems and technical innovationDevelop and update training requirements for drainage planning specialist knowledge areasSupport our business in the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans Key skills and experienceYou'll have a degree level qualification in a relevant engineering or science discipline, with extensive experience in a similar role. We will also require advanced knowledge of water related infrastructure assets and systems, with a strong focus on drainage and waterways. Your demonstrated ability to lead strategic planning, provide mentoring, collaborate and influence stakeholders, senior management and regulators will ensure success in this role.
