The Principal Data Analyst will provide support to the Statewide Manager Clinical and Financial Analytics on critical issues impacting on the operation of hospitals and health services in the State Health System plus provide specialist advice and complex analyses to assist other unit priorities as required including data-related working groups.
The Role: Provide high level advice to senior managers and executive on key performance indicators affecting healthcare services within the state. Provide high level expert advice and support to the Statewide Manager Clinical and Financial Analytics including the development of complex position papers, reports, correspondence, and briefings at a high level and within required timeframes. Provide high-level and specialist advice by extracting, analysing, trending, and reporting advanced clinical analytics information as these deliverables will be used by organisational management to support research, performance reporting and operational service initiatives. Build strong working relationships with senior leaders and business units, understand relevant business areas and support the business in better understanding and interpreting operational information and performance metrics. Work collaboratively with other health professionals across the service to foster a strategic, coordinated and quality approach to reporting, analysis including forecasting process on hospital operational data. The Clinical & Financial Analytics team: Aims to improve the accessibility and visualisation of health data at individual and hospital level. Implements strategies that support and build trust in hospital data. Provide customer support to local areas with data analytics and information. Details of Appointment Permanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
