At Happy Dots, we pride ourselves on providing top-notch healthcare services, and we are currently seeking a talented and compassionate Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team in 2024. We are a leading private paediatric therapy clinic known for our exceptional client care and innovative approach to therapy (play & sensory based). We have a position in our new Raymond Terrace clinic, which is relocating from Medowie in May.
Full time or part time options available As a Paediatric Speech Pathologist at Happy Dots, you will play a vital role in helping children with developmental challenges & disabilities lead fulfilling lives. Under the mentorship of experienced therapists, you will provide evidence-based therapy services to children aged 0 to 18 years, fostering their independence, and empowering them to overcome obstacles. You will assess, plan, and implement individualised treatment plans, collaborating closely with families and their care team to achieve holistic progress and lasting results.

Dedicated 12 month orientation program with support from highly experienced mentors. Full onboarding process (including graded caseload, opportunity to shadow therapy sessions, learning portal opportunities & more) Weekly one-on-one supervision with an experienced Speech Therapist, as well as small group / peer learning sessions. An experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) is also on hand to provide additional supervision with a focus on the multi-disciplinary practice from an OT perspective. Furthermore, there is a team leader available to answer any questions in the absence of your primary supervisor. Key Responsibilities: Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in paediatric clients. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans tailored to each child's needs. Provide speech therapy services to children with a wide range of communication disorders, including articulation, language & fluency. Collaborate with occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for paediatric clients. Educate and support parents and caregivers to enhance the child's progress through home programs and communication strategies. Maintain detailed records of client assessments, progress, and treatment plans. Stay current with the latest research and best practices in the field of paediatric speech pathology. Requirements Completion of Speech Pathology degree Certified Practicing Speech Pathology status (CPSP) with Speech Pathology Australia Minimum of 2 years experience in Paediatrics Passion for working with children and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on their lives. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Empathy, patience, and adaptability to cater to each child's unique needs.
