HCL Technologies' Microsoft Business Applications Practice (MBAP formerly, PowerObjects) is seeking an D365 ERP Solution Architect to join their award winning and growing team in Australia.
The D365 ERP Solution Architect carries the ultimate responsibility for meeting customer requirements and completing projects on schedule. The D365 ERP Solution Architect will be comfortable in all aspects of solution delivery. Additionally, they must be capable of switching between leading customer-facing functional workshops, groups of internal functional consultants, project and programme managers, and business analysts while managing development teams.
The D365 ERP Solution Architect will also work closely with customer-based and PowerObjects-centric onshore as well as off-shore teams to effectively report on progress, risks, and issues within the project. The D365 ERP Solution Architect will liaise with both internal and customer senior stakeholders, often C-level executives, by adjusting the approach and language as required for each interaction.
The D365 ERP Solution Architect must be extremely detail-oriented, have the ability to multitask, be meticulously organized, and be able to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced environment. Essential Functions Act as a functional lead and demonstrate a clear approach to relevant methodologies including PowerObjects' Proven Process
Lead functional workshops with customers, document requirements, and design appropriate solutions
Act as an interface, integration, and data migrations lead
Perform relevant technical capabilities and demonstrate a wide range of development skills
Advocate strongly for adherence to the highest standards and best practices
Understand the capabilities of the development team and schedule their work appropriately, providing support and assistance when needed
Work with customer and internal teams on infrastructure architecture where required
Provide required technical support to customers during D365 ERP implementations and ERP consultants on hybrid projects
Write and review high-level and detailed architecture documentation
Create Solution, Functional, and Technical Specification documentation for the project
Design, develop, review, and test customized code for D365 ERP projects
Stay current on D365 and related ERP technologies, particularly Azure stack technologies that support the solution
Mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge and experience to ensure that the team grows in knowledge and effectiveness
Offer flexibility with time and be capable of working in a process-oriented environment
Operate within cross-functional teams with excellent communication
Advise customers on best practices for D365 ERP processes, user interface, and architecture
Work with the training team to deliver and create super-users and end-user training as needed
Participating and lead pre-sales engagements when needed
Work effectively with the sales team on delivering tender response documents, estimates, and customer demonstrations
Must be comfortable with Technical Design Data Modelling, .Net Design Patterns and Frameworks D365 ERP Customisation & Configuration, Plug-ins, and Workflows
Responsible for providing technical knowledge of the IT infrastructure and DBMS (database management system) required for successful operation of the ERP application.

Ability to demonstrate hands-on experience as either a D356 ERP Technical Lead, Technical Architect, or Solution Architect
At least 5 end-to-end full life cycle D365 ERP implementations
Expert knowledge of at least 4 of the following modules, Sales, Service, Marketing, Social Engagement, USD, PSA, Field Service, or Portals
Possess detailed knowledge and experience of Enterprise Application Integration and Architecture patterns
Knowledge of UML, BPMN, and ArchiMate is desirable but not required
Exposure to Visual Studio Team Services or other similar enterprise planning and delivery tools
Manage or lead multiple large projects (6-24 months) with advanced organizational skills
Up-to-date understanding of business processes, issues, and technology, especially related to the operation of sales, marketing, and customer service departments within an organization
Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical skills, and proven ability to work with multi-cultural teams
Comfortable talking with clients at all levels of within an organization, including C-level executives
Ability to balance short-term demands while maintaining the long-term vision needed to guide a client through the implementation process
Knowledge of the modeling techniques (e.g. UML, Entity Relationship Diagram, Process modeling)
Knowledge of data governance principles
