Job Summary:
We are looking for a strategic leader to join team and play a pivotal role as the Managing Director of Australia. As a founding member of our Australian business, you will establish and lead all aspects of the business - owning the strategy and P&L, building and leading a high-performing team, and successfully scaling the brand. You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of International and you will be well-positioned to drive incredible impact and advance your career.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Leadership - Develop and execute Australia’s commercial strategy and vision.
Sales Growth & Marketing - Identify and prioritize opportunities to scale the business, including localization and partnership opportunities for product & marketing to better serve Australian customers. Closely oversee direction and execution of brand building & marketing.
Team Leadership & Development - Attract strong talent and lead a high-performing team. Foster a positive working culture and provide coaching for team members.
Financial Management - Own the P&L and oversee the financial health of the Australian business. Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
Operations Management - Manage the day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and excellence in manufacturing and supply chain. Support buildout of manufacturing facility in Australia.
Customer Experience - Champion a customer-centric approach and monitor / enhance customer satisfaction.
Performance Metrics & Reporting - Measure and track KPIs and inform courses of action as needed. Ensure connectivity and strategic alignment with HQ - both functionally and culturally.
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
7-10+ years of experience with proven track record in senior leadership roles - in marketing, sales and business development, or general management for a B2C company
5-7+ years of experience leading and managing teams
Experience leading cross-functional teams / projects with track record of establishing positive relationships with stakeholders
Exceptional entrepreneurial & strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to identify and prioritize highest impact activities in a dynamic startup environment
Willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Results-driven with a focus on achieving targets and KPIs
Ability to work in MS Office or G-Suite
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
Experience working in the Direct-to-Consumer space
Management consulting experience is a plus
Demonstrated ability to excel in a start-up environment
Understanding of digital marketing, including CRM, Paid Media, affiliates, SEO and other performance marketing related activities
Compensation:
$225,000 - $240,000 AUD base salary per year
An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
