About the role:
Exciting opportunity for a Garden Maintenance Officerto join our team at Calvary The Mariner!
Your previous garden/landscape experience, health and safety focus, and appreciation for excellent customer service will see you succeed in this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Attend to duties that improve the day to day lives of our residents and employees and ensure a safe and clean living and working environment.
General garden maintenance tasks, such as lawn mowing, weeding, and hedge trimming.
Various tasks as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor or relevant manager including preventative and reactive maintenance of site and equipment, inspections, liaising with consultants, gardening and landscaping.
Ensure a resident centered approach
What you bring
Possess 2-3 years previous experience in a relevant trade industry.
Some prior maintenance experience in aged care/ lifestyle village/caravan park/retirement village will be highly regarded
Good working knowledge of Fire and Emergency protocols, and regulations around essential services.
Demonstrated experience in managing contractors, including JSA's/SWMS, SLA’s, work orders.
A high level of commitment, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
Gardening/Landscaping experience
