We are on the hunt for an onsite Leading Hand to join our award-winning team at Dawson. This is a Permanent drive in/drive out 7/7 Alternating roster and will best suit those residing in the Central Queensland region.
As a Leading Hand, you will:
Provide active leadership to employees to improve performance Train and develop others including coaching and mentoring Plan work to the highest efficiency Monitor jobs for quality and efficiency, providing guidance and ensuring work orders are correct Ensure tradespersons have work completed within the allocated time frame Provide guidance and expertise to job tasks Proactively identify job quality and efficiency risks Report hazards, defects and unsatisfactory practices to promote continuous improvement Ensure adverse environment impacts are identified and sustainability measures implemented as per Company policies and procedures Ensure employees obtain every opportunity to achieve competencies and up-skilling via on-the-job training Why Hastings Deering?

A successful teammate will have experience in:
Relevant Trade qualifications and demonstrated service and repair experience on CAT - 797B Fleet Current coal board medical and a Std 11 Qualification or the ability to acquire via HDAL Well-developed communication and customer service skills Well developed leadership and people management skills The ability to work autonomously and as a team as required Demonstrated and proven ability with desktop computers and devices Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems Commitment to a high level of workplace health and safety To Apply: Hit the ‘Apply Now’ button
