Purpose of this role Responsible for keeping systems running 24x7x365 through proactive planning, effective monitoring, and taking appropriate actions to restore services quickly in the event of a fault Ensure repetitive operational tasks are performed and reported on in a thorough and timely manner Delivering secure, reliable, efficient and thoroughly documented IT projects and procedures Undertaking proactive steps to ensure the security and reliability of the company's IT systems Assisting with tasks to keep the Direct Group environment secure Responsibilities Continuously improve monitoring capabilities for the detection of issues Level 2 and 3 infrastructure support Repetitive tasks including health checks, security and application patching, analysis of IT incidents, reports, and system lifecycle Proactive tasks including automation of manual tasks, seek opportunities to improve processes and technology, contribute to the IT risk register, and keep up to date with the latest global IT security risks Project delivery responsibilities including assisting in the building and/or reviewing of new systems, ensuring support documentation is completed, improve risk, change and quality management, and the creation of designs, systems and procedures Participation in major system outages Participation in change control management approval system Assist with the development of IT system designs Assist in resolving and/or escalating information security threats both internally and externally Participation in the team on-call roster Adhere to all Safe and Well policies and procedures Required skills and qualifications Bachelor's degree/ Qualification to AQF 5/ Certificate (or equivalent) in an IT discipline Microsoft Certification (at least MCSA or equivalent) ITIL Certification (Foundation or higher) VMWare VSphere (VCP or equivalent) Works well with others and cooperates with a Team environment Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with IT management, stakeholders and end users Maintain effective relationships with third parties including vendors, outsourced partners and Direct Groups business partners Able to work autonomously to complete responsibilities Excellent documentation skills, particularly with processes and procedures Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work well under pressure Strong communication and customer service skills Follow ITIL practices Understanding of Security principles associated with networks, email, operating systems, firewalls, VPN's, databases, virus management, intrusion, detection, cryptography and e-commerce Experience & Education 10 Years' experience in a similar role in mid to large size corporate environments Possess a solid understanding and experience managing core infrastructure and services to support large organisations (Active directory, VMWware, Windows server, Linux server, Cisco netwok infrastructure, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Antivirus, Security Systems, Veeam backup and replication, storage systems, Office 365, telephony) Hands on experience with cloud transition/ migration and integration projects Experience managing corporate AWS/Azure environments Experience administering security solutions with a large enterprise environment Strong understanding of network protocols, technologies, and topologies Strong knowledge and commercial experience in all aspects of AWS/ Azure cloud disciplines, Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems administration and security tools Strong knowledge of backup systems and restoring systems and applications In return we offer: GREAT product discounts across the Group Annual salary reviews On-site parking Social club Free membership to SONDER health and wellbeing for you and your family Supportive leadership and ongoing coaching Fantastic culture within a thriving, collaborative organisation who values our people Posted Date 19 Sep 2023 Location Frenchs Forest NSW /Australia #J-18808-Ljbffr
