HEAVY DIESEL MECHANIC: Join Australia’s LeadingSustainable Materials Supplier.We are looking for full-time Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join ourteam on the day shift. Working out of our Laverton North Workshop, you’ll bemaintaining and repairing our earthmoving equipment, machinery and roadtransport fleet.In this role, you will: Mainly work on our earth moving and machinery fleet, with the option to work on road transport vehicles Diagnostic, repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and or specified times targeting improved punctuality and job efficiency Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner Carry out preventative maintenance services, maintaining vehicle records Complete and submit the necessary paperwork and reports Provide support and training to team and apprentices Carry out repairs and maintenance off site at one of our recycling facilities What’s in it for you: Monday to Friday day shift, standard hours between 6:00am – 4.00pm with additional overtime available Saturday shifts on offer, but not mandatory All uniform and equipment supplied An unwavering safety culture, and a great team to work with Ongoing training and development, in transport and other disciplines This role is a great fit if you: Are a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic Hold a valid white card, or willing to obtain one Heavy rigid and forklift licence would be highly regarded Have a commitment to safety Have experience with heavy equipment, such as trucks and earthmoving equipment (preferred) Experience with CAT / Komatsu Loaders, Excavators equipment preferred, not essential Like working in a clean, modern, and well-lit workshop Want to work with a great team All successful applicants will be required to complete apre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screening. Random drug andalcohol tests are conducted on all Alex Fraser premises.
