JOB DESCRIPTION Location – Sydney OR Melbourne. About the Head of Operational Excellence Role: With a continuous improvement mindset, the Head of Operational Excellence will be responsible for driving process optimisation excellence across TGE's multi-modal transport network. You're a key contributor, a visionary , helping to solve complex problems with simple and practical solutions, achieved by developing a deep knowledge of TGE's current operational processes. You'll collaborate with multiple senior stakeholders, and their respective teams, providing expert knowledge, tools and coaching, enabling them to improve on their performances. This role will drive standardisation via best practice sharing, including building shared network performance measures.

A national role, this position is a key member of the Operations Integration Leadership Team - accountable for maximising the safety, efficiency, compliance, financial performance, and service delivery to customer requirements (DIFOT) of the TGE operational network.
What you'll do (duties/responsibilities including/not limited to ): Sharing knowledge and advice, pertaining to best practices/processes that have been proven to improve performance Develop improvement action plans, delivery schedules, and performance metrics/benchmarks Manage program delivery & CI implementation including cost management and project budgets Contribute to the deployment of process standard implementations, abiding by TGE's 'Perfect Transaction' methodologies Support the development and continuous piloting of process improvements Collaborate with cross-functional teams, delivering process improvements, whilst understanding of the process change implications etc. What you'll bring to the Head of Operations Role: Experienced within operational leadership across large and complex supply chains/FMCG networks, possessing a strong understanding of transport operations. Tertiary qualifications within engineering, logistics, process management or equivalent Analytical mindset, ability to create narratives from multiple data points Expertise in Lean Management, Six Sigma/OE tools Strong understanding of technology trends, systems, and tools relevant to supply chain and logistics operations.
