About the Role… The primary purpose of the Assistant Accountant position is to assist and support the Senior Financial Accountant with day-to-day accounting tasks, month end processing and reporting for tenants’ group. Responsibilities of the role: Responsible for Accounts Receivable – both internal and external tenants – includes billing, reimbursements, payment receipts and account reconciliation Responsible for fixed asset register Responsible for Event invoice - coding and importing Liaise with Property Manager to review and reconcile the tenant accounts Review debtor accounts and follow up outstanding invoices Process EOM accrual and adjustment journals and balance sheet account reconciliations Assist Senior Financial Accountant to review financial statements and provide commentary Prepare BAS lodgement Liaise with departments across the business to resolve the issues in reconciliations Process Merchant Receipts and refunds and responsible for the reconciliations. Conduct Expense Analysis to further improve cost control and analysis Assist the Finance Year End processes Assist with the continuous improvement of the finance department and overall company finances Other Ad-hoc duties as required Criteria: Minimum 1-2 years experience working in a similar role Tertiary qualification in Account of relevant studies High Attention to detail Studying toward a CPA or CA preferred but not essential Why do you want this role?
