The FSR will provide technical maintenance expertise primarily in support of 16 Regiment, Royal Artillery (RAA), initially at Woodside Barracks transitioning to Edinburgh Defence Precinct. This role is responsible for: Provision of Maintenance Support Services to 16 Regiment including: Providing advice, guidance and knowledge transfer to Army operators and technicians Conducting, recording and reporting of maintenance activities (field reports and database updates) Conducting Heavy Grade Repair of CEA equipment Providing overflow assistance to Light and Medium Grade Repair Providing an overflow preventive maintenance capability IAW the Maintenance Programme Provide advice with Technical Publication updates Providing Software Support functions, system modifications and configuration management Maintenance of unique Support & Test Equipment (S&TE) Assisting with Maintenance Investigations subject matter advice were requested Providing advice to 16 Regt maintainers to develop Engineering Change Proposals, Defect and RODUM reports for CEA products Provision of Training Support Services to 16 Regiment, including: Assisting delivery of Sensor Operator and Sensor Maintainer training (technical assistance) Assist editing CEA training material and documentation Mentoring of Army technical maintainers of CEA specific equipment Supporting Army field consolidation training and live fire activities (upon request) Essential Associate Diploma/Trade qualifications in Electronics trade in any of the following: UEE30920 Certificate III in Electronics and Communications MEM30422 Certificate III in Engineering - Electronic Trade MEM40119 Certificate IV in Engineering (Electronics) Minimum 5 years of commercial or military experience in maintenance and operation of complex electronic systems. Experience with maintenance of complex electronic systems. Experience with working within a technical team in off-site locations. Experience with system level fault finding for complex systems.
