We truly value your ideas and encourage you to champion innovation and collaboration, we are here to unlock your value and offer opportunities that supercharge your career to go beyond what is possible.Location: Carrapateena, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)Roster: 8 days on; 6 days off, on site at CarrapateenaReporting to : Senior Geotechnical EngineerEmployment Type : PermanentAbout The Role: In the role 'Geotechnical Engineer' you will be responsible for working within a team to:• Ensure quality control & assurance (QAQC) of ground support systems are maintained and effective.• Support the operation by continued geotechnical data collection and interpretation for update of geotechnicalstructural models, major infrastructure design, ground control planning and long-term developmentproduction plans.• Management of geotechnical monitoring databases.• High priority geotechnical tasks including, but not limited to, cave, seismicity, ground control and inrush management.• Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive value-add projects.• Consistent communications to key stakeholders with respect to geotechnical hazard management.• Design & execute instrumentation programs to aid geotechnical hazard management.• Other geotechnical role functions as required.What we Value: Ideally you will have:• More than two years Geotechnical Engineering experience in an underground metalliferous mine.• Experience with the following:Implementation of geotechnical processes and systems.QAQC of ground support systemsPractical experience with geotechnical mapping, monitoring systems, ground support calculations / designs and stability analysis.Establishing and/or maintaining aspects of a geotechnical management systemCollection & interpretation of geotechnical observations and geological data (structure)Experience using mininggeotechnical software (Deswik, MxRap, IMS suite, Leapfrog)Supporting a Diverse Workforce: The size, stability and magnitude of our business not only provides significant opportunity for professional development, but also attractive salary packages with performance-based bonuses and a best-in-class employee share program.
