Reporting to the Superintendent Geotechnical, you will be working closely with diverse stakeholders, across multiple sites as a conduit between strategy and execution. As one of the world's largest Mining Operations and Australia's deepest, this is a challenging position technically. However, with a team of experienced peers and a strong technical leadership team you will be well supported and developed.Your key responsibilities include:• Ensure compliance is maintained to the Ground Control Management plan and QLD mining quarrying and Safety ACT. • Conduct and report Empirical and Numerical modelling of new mining blocks. • Record and interrogate on monitoring instrumentation, report and develop action plans in conjunction with operations and planning engineers. • Interpretation of mine monitoring systems; e.g. Seismic monitoring • Underground inspection and Geotechnical mapping • Design and reconciliation of large stoping excavations • QAQC on installed ground support • Monitoring of excavations through damage mapping • Design and reconciliation of vertical and horizontal mine development.
