Diesel Mechanic/Fitter

TRS Resourcing is sourcing and screening for suitable and trade-qualified Diesel Mechanics/Plant Mechanics for our client who is specialising in the mechanical repair and Major Inspection of truck-mounted EWP’s, Crane Borers, Vehicle Loading Cranes, Carrier Trucks, Scissor lifts and associated equipment.
We require a diesel mechanic on a full-time permanent basis to monitor and undertake repairs and servicing for all allocated tasks. You will be based in their workshop in the south-eastern suburbs, and with a healthy pipeline of business, they need to increase their workforce.
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Promptly attend breakdowns or high-priority job
- Test run plant and equipment following servicing or repairs
- Complete in full routine inspections, servicing & repairs, including ordering of parts required in consultation with the parts
department, Leading Hand and Workshop Manager. - Set out and interpret workshop/engineering drawings.
- Hold a mechanical aptitude.
- Assist with quoting, developing detailed repair descriptions and quality checks
