Position DetailsSt Clare's is a Catholic CARE school for girls in Years 8 to 12, who have not been able to engage successfully in mainstream schools. St Clare's School continues the Apostolic work of the Good Shepherd Sisters, who began the school in 1956. We are seeking a committed, experienced educational Leader to be part of our team. We are seeking to appoint a short-term Deputy Principal for the duration of Term 3, 2024. The first two weeks of term would be an induction and handover period, working with the current Deputy Principal, prior to them going on LSL for the remaining 8 weeks of the term. The role of Deputy Principal is to assist the Principal in serving the school's mission of delivering quality Catholic Education in the context of a CARE school. This position is an important leadership role in our dual mission of faith and learning. The role spans the pastoral, academic, and operational dimensions of the school, requiring oversight and decision-making in these areas. The Deputy Principal reports directly to the Principal, and is a member of the School Leadership team, together with the Principal, the Lead Psychologist, and the Executive Officer. The Deputy Principal will be a member of the Catholic Secondary Deputy Principals' Association Selection Criteria & Qualifications Required • Substantial Middle-Leadership (or higher) experience in Catholic Secondary School.• CEWA Accreditation to teach in a Catholic School.• Progress towards Accreditation to Lead in a Catholic School.
