About this role

The Dentist In Charge directs and oversees the operations of the dental clinic and School Dental Service in the Narrogin area. As well as managing staff and maintaining equipment, you will also provide routine and advanced clinical treatment to enrolled patients. You will also develop epidemiological data for the clinical area and initiate relevant community dental care programs aimed at improving dental health in the community by liaison with dentists, service organisations, education and local authorities and relevant community groups.

This role reports to the Regional Dental Officer.

What we are looking for

We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Dentist, eligible for registration with the Dental Board of Australia. You will have well-developed communication skills and thrive working as part of a small team to deliver high quality oral healthcare, including education.

Location

This position is located in Narrogin, an idyllic and quaint country town in WA's beautiful Wheatbelt region that offers a lot to its residents. The town is roughly 2.5-3hours drive from Perth, and contains beautiful gardens and memorials, country pubs, cafes, restaurants, and excellent schools. A town rich in history and culture.

Eligibility to Apply:

Applicants must be eligible for registration by the Dental Board of Australia. For further information please refer to the Dental Board of Australia.

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.

This position is subject to a Western Australian Working With Children (WWC) Check. For further information please refer to the WWC website at: https://workingwithchildren.wa.gov.au

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
