Butterfly Foundation is Australia's national charity for eating disorders and body image issues, providing a voice for those affected and the people who care for them. Eating disorders are severe and complex mental illnesses with physical complications, and the medical, psychological, physical and social consequences can be long term and for many, life threatening. Butterfly advocates for improved services from government, health and mental health organisations, and the eating disorder sector, raising awareness in the media and via community engagement. Butterfly runs Australia's only national Eating Disorders Helpline, seven days a week; evidence-based clinical treatment and support programs; and delivers prevention initiatives in schools and the community to combat negative body image issues. About the Role The role of Data and Insights Manager sits within Butterfly's fundraising team and its primary purpose is to manage and maintain the fundraising database and ensure it is configured for success and able to support the implementation of the fundraising strategy. The Data and Insights Manager will be responsible for all data associated with new and existing fundraising initiatives and must ensure that donor information is held in accordance with Butterfly's privacy policy and that it is accurate and up to date. This person will contribute to strategic fundraising discussions and work with the team to optimise fundraising activities and create efficient practices. The Data and Insights Manager will also be responsible for working with Butterfly's finance team to ensure accurate financial record-keeping across the organisation. Extensive and practical database management experience – minimum 2 years hands-on experience A strong understanding of fundraising platforms and integrations. Experience with Dynamics 365 will be advantageous Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of computer literacy Strong data analysis skills and ability to interpret insights into strategic direction Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving ability Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a liaison between tech and non-tech stakeholders Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Demonstrated experience in a charity or not for profit organisation, preferably with a fundraising focus All applicants should supply their resume, and must address the Selection Criteria as detailed in the Position Description in a separate cover letter.
