The Consultant Psychiatrist will contribute to service evaluation and research and will display a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in psychiatry. The area of clinical deployment and cover within the continuum of care at SVMH will be recommended in discussion with the relevant Director and Group Operations Manager, and determined by the Director of Clinical Services and General Manager Mental Health. Classifications for this position will range from classification range HN18 – HN34. The adult mental health service components are: The Yarra Boroondara Primary Mental Health Service (PMHS), the Footbridge Community Care Unit (CCU), the 44 bed Acute Inconsumer Service (AIS) located on the St. Vincent's Hospital site, and two community mental health services (CMHS) at Hawthorn and East Melbourne (Clarendon CMHS). Community mental health services comprise the Triage and Crisis assessment and Treatment (CAT) service, Primary Intervention Clinical Team (PICT), Continuing Care (CCT), Mobile Support and Treatment (MST) and Homeless Outreach (CHOPS) services. NEXUS Dual Diagnosis Service, the Body Image and Eating Disorders Assessment and Treatment Service (BETRS) are regional services.
