Our world class Asset Management is underpinned by Maximo and we service users 24x7 largely based in Train Maintenance sites in NSW and VIC, soon to be joined by QLD. Our application suite comprises over 10 integrated applications providing maintenance management, operational intelligence and innovation & analytics services. Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) is looking for a Continuous Service & Improvement Manager. This new role will lead the TrainDNA Continuous Service & Improvement team that exists to ensure the optimal performance for our Asset Management suite of applications we call TrainDNA. You will also be key member of the broader RTS Technology team which provides delivery and support services all of RTS. This role will suit someone with a Service Management background, ideally in a Rail or Engineering context, with a passion for service excellence. Key responsibilities Manage the preferred supplier and its partners to deliver on their continuous service SLAs and obligations Foster a service excellence across your team and suppliers Drive new value through guided continuous improvement of our applications Manage the work for your team of seven technical staff based across NSW and VIC Encourage inputs to, and manage the pipeline of business and technology-led demand Collaboratively agree balanced content for releases that deliver value & manage technical debt Manage all activities related to planned and ad-hoc releases, including managing the testing, following our established change management practices React to urgent unplanned work and issues and organise appropriate help Grow the skills in your team to deliver the most value to the business, and engage the business on the ways they can get the most from your team Support the work that drives value to the business through process changes and training Review and manage the quality of the data being generated across sites and drive improvements when needed Maintain the value and integrity of all supporting documentation for TrainDNA applications About you: Experience in Asset Management, ideally for Rolling Stock and ideally using Maximo. Strong communication skills, especially to your team and our preferred supplier staff, some offshore Experience in dealing with support and release management of complex integrated applications Ability to qualify criticality of issues that emerge to ensure consistent business-sensitive responses You are qualified in the relevant discipline (e.g. bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or Software Engineering). Fulltime employment - ideally North Ryde NSW but can choose to be based either in Auburn in NSW, or in Pakenham VIC or Melbourne CBD.
