That’s the #powerofexperience.About the RoleWe are looking for experienced Commissioning Engineer- Stations to work on our complex civil/rail project in Perth, Western Australia. This role will assist the Engineering team and be responsible for contributing to the project.Key responsibilitiesTaking on the lead role for discipline or multiple disciplines commissioning activitiesDeliver all commissioning, testing and operational readiness pre-requisites to successfully handover a rail system to the clientProvides adequate input and review to all commissioning planning, test planning, ITPs, ITRs, test results and reports across assigned engineering disciplinesTracking costs and managing subcontractorsDeliver commissioning management plans and sub-plans in accordance with project requirementsActively participate and coordinate all elements of commissioning including:Factory Acceptance TestingType approvalsConstruction VerificationSite Acceptance TestingSystem Integration TestingReporting tothe Commissioning Manager and Construction Project Manager for specific testing stage tasksParticipate with the completions team for final handover and asset acceptanceParticipate in possessions and shutdowns as required to enable work to progressProvide leadership and direction to direct reports as well as interface with design management and construction delivery teamsThe assessment of the work dependencies, staging and allocation of works to competent and approved personnelAssessing and approving competencies to individual resources appropriate to the works being carried outDevelop Laing O’Rourke testing and commissioning procedures and processes to ensure that they meet all relevant standardsAssess and manage the training requirements of Testing and Commissioning resources, including the sharing of lessons learned from each delivered projectAbout youTertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline or similarExperience in commissioning rail systems in communication and/or signallingExperience in commissioning in a rail systems environmentExperience in urban AC electrified rail systems is highly desirableBenefitsWe work hard to create an environment that brings out the best in our people.
