The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in business and culture change activities by developing meaningful and impactful communications and learning artefacts that support stakeholders in their awareness for change and adoption of technology, process and data changes being introduced. Will support the impact assessment resulting from changes to people, process, and systems, and contribute to the design of engagement and training plans to minimise the impact.
The Progam The Program has been established with a mandate to deliver a coherent and consistent institution-wide approach to learner and partner engagement. Enabling this business and technology transformation will be the establishment of several projects within the program, each delivering in unison to evolve relationship management and engagement capabilities and practices. The Change and Communications Specialist will play a key role in business and culture change activities by developing meaningful and impactful communications and learning artefacts that support stakeholders in their awareness for change and adoption of technology, process and data changes being introduced. The specialist will identify the impacts resulting from changes to people, process, and systems; the development and delivery of key documentation to support adoption; and the successful implementation of change activities resulting from that analysis.
Key responsibilities include: Lead and manage business and solution analysis activities across the program/project organisation Work closely with program, business and technical stakeholders to effectively discover, define, validate, prioritise and continuously manage requirements that translate identified needs into solution outcomes which align with architectural principles and strategies. Effectively facilitate sessions with diverse stakeholder groups, leveraging best-practice techniques and methodologies (such as design and systems thinking) to achieve desired objectives and outcomes. Complete detailed and traceable solution specifications, owning the development and quality of the Business Requirements and Functional Specification that are translated into User Stories to inform development. Collaborate with technical specialists, service management stakeholders and relevant subject matter experts to map, document and establish business processes modelling of current, transitional and future states. Provide input into the direction for business analysis activities across the program, including business process modelling, business and solution requirements lifecycle management, and data modelling Analyse and critically evaluate information from multiple sources to support effective solution definition and design activities that consider competing stakeholder views and needs. Analyse and consolidate information to input into the development of the solution options assessments and feasibility studies to ensure that the value proposition is clear, investment is justified, and business benefits can be realised. Provide plain language advice on technical issues to non-technical audiences. Contribute to system, integration, user acceptance and production verification testing cycles by preparing and executing test plans and scripts. Contribute to the Business Analysis Community of Practice where possible by actively participating in forums and continuous activities aimed at advancing the Business Analysis Framework and improving maturity. Essential skills and experience required:
Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a postgraduate qualification, together with extensive experience in ICT business analysis. Demonstrated experience working in a similar role supporting the successful delivery of high(1)impact and high-value initiatives that lead to meaningful change, with a proven ability to use initiative and self-drive to meet demanding deadlines. Expert experience leading large-scale business process modelling (preferably using the Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) specification) to identify and map the intersections between people, process and technology. Proven ability working with key stakeholders to translate requirements into solution outcomes, using advanced facilitation skills techniques and a strong ability to document the requirements and solution specifications to articulate the future(1)state of the platform Ability to work in a hybrid Waterfall and Agile environment, where requirements elicitation occurs over a phased approach and results in a business and functional requirements specification, and there is a transition to sprinted solution development with the detailed User Stories necessary to develop the platform incrementally. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills that cultivate and maintain productive, collaborative and outcomes-focused working relationships to anticipate and negotiate changes in client expectations and requirements.
