Job Summary
Our Adelaide team are looking for a BIM Manager in our Building’s and Places Team to integrate and deliver multidisciplinary design services to a variety of clients in Defence, Healthcare, Aviation, Education, Commercial and Civil Infrastructure projects. The Building Information Modelling (BIM) Manager is responsible for the management of all BIM related data requirements for projects throughout the design and construction phases. You will manage AECOM teams of BIM technicians and designers to produce drawings and models to achieve our client’s goals as well as key project performance indicators. The BIM Manager will be responsible for reporting to the Design Manager on each project and working closely with project controls to ensure the management systems of projects are efficiently integrated.
Minimum Requirements
As a successful BIM Manager in our Adelaide office you will reflect some or all of the following attributes, responsibilities and requirements;
Technical qualifications from an approved TAFE or education institution; or relevant building related Degree.
Proven background and exposure to BIM modelling and Digital Engineering on Engineering or Construction projects
Strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to create reports and VR presentations to effectively communicate with clients.
Ability to develop and comply with the Digital Engineering Management methodology and update Digital Engineering Execution Plans;
Proven capability to create, manage and update federated design models;
Demonstrable experience in facilitating the use of federated design models to coordinate clash detection and resolution activities and provide clash detection reports when required;
Confidence in chairing workshops and briefings with all relevant project BIM stakeholders;
Ability to ensure BIM derived 2D documentation conforms to AS Technical Drawing and is suitable for its required purpose;
Understanding of construction planning and development processes including planning, design and construction activities across multidisciplinary environments;
Working knowledge of CAD and drawing related packages including Revit, Solibri, Navisworks, Revizto or similar related systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in MEP, Structural or Architectural disciplines are highly advantageous.
