Your role will involve conducting in-depth research to understand our target demographics, identifying key digital channels, and developing comprehensive media plans that align with Optus's marketing goals. By applying your expertise in digital advertising platforms and audience analytics, you'll ensure precise targeting and optimization of ad placements to enhance campaign efficiency.

Your day in the life at Optus,
As our Biddable Planner, you'll orchestrate the creation of robust media strategies that align with product goals and resonate with target audiences. Work closely with Products tams to understand their objectives, target demographics, and competitive landscape. Choose the most suitable digital channels based on audience characteristics, budget, and campaign objectives. Use your expertise to secure favourable terms, including pricing and placement, with media vendors and platforms, ensuring efficient value for our clients. Demonstrate your knowledge of advertising platforms to navigate their systems optimally, applying their targeting options and optimization tools to increase campaign performance. Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners, facilitating communication and coordination to ensure smooth project execution.
Your Skills To Pay The Bills,
Confirmed professional experience in planning digital/biddable media. If you're from a background in media agency this is highly advantageous. In-depth knowledge of Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, and programmatic advertising. Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate sophisticated ideas clearly and concisely. Proficiency in media planning and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau) is a plus. You're a presenter by nature, and you exemplify leadership and mentoring qualities.
