Roster: 4:3 (Monday - Thursday) – FIFO ex Perth or 5:2 (Monday - Friday) Port Hedland Residential Fortescue has an exciting opportunity for a Balance Machine Specialist to join the Engineering team on a 4/3 roster in Port Hedland. Reporting to the Senior Structural Engineer, this role will be responsible for managing the critical risks associated with Ports 10 Balance Machines in accordance with AS4324.1 and the Machine Risk Management Procedure (MRMP). The Balance Machine Specialist will ensure all MRMP maintenance tasks on critical safety systems are completed and provide technical support to maintenance, operations, and shutdown teams. Key Responsibilities Site based Work Order Management ensuring adherence to the MRMP. Oversee MRMP inspections completed in Shutdowns. Effectively manage Machine integrity, by overseeing inspections, documenting conditions, and improving maintenance plans. Review Inspection reports and create subsequent notifications in SAP for rectification. Ensure timely completion of remedial work and follow-ups on notifications. Document and maintain accessible records for tests, inspections, maintenance, and auditing. Ensure machine structures are maintained and in a safe and functional condition that is suitable to meet ongoing business operational requirements. Controlling modifications that may adversely affect machine loading, strength, fatigue life and/or balance to prevent introduction of uncontrolled or unforeseen risks. Provide Monthly reporting of all MRMP activities. Qualifications and Experience Qualification in Structural or Mechanical Engineering or relevant Trade Qualification. Minimum 3 years' experience working directly with balance machines. Knowledge of AS4324.1 Mobile equipment for continuous handling of bulk materials. Prior experience managing a team of tradespeople and contractors. Proficiency with Structural Integrity requirements with Balance Machine experience. Advanced Excel skills. Great communication skills; ability to facilitate meetings and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
