Public Sector People are working with a government organisation the Brisbane CBD who are seeking an AO5 investigations officer on a 3-month Temp contract + possible extension and with the opportunity to go directly with the client afterwards. **candidates from a policing background encouraged to apply** Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited To Investigate high risk, complex and sensitive practitioner conduct and/or performance complaints effectively and efficiently, in line with organisational policies and procedures to ensure investigations are completed within 12 months. Use best practice investigation planning methodologies to ensure all available evidence is identified and sourced in an appropriate manner and appropriately documented in accordance with organisational policy. Prepare and submit high-quality briefs-of-evidence and investigations reports with recommendations regarding the prosecution of service providers. Work collaboratively with representatives within the organisation to establish strategic stakeholder management with key officers within the wider sector setting. Work collaboratively with staff within the organisation to achieve timely identification and particularisation of risk and brief the department in respect to potential high-risk matters. Assist the Principal Investigations Officer in the implementation of systems and processes, mentor and coach staff to ensure effective case management and development of staff skills. About You Previous experience as an investigation officer including conducting interviews with witnesses, and collecting evidence. a sophisticated understanding of risk within the health context demonstrated experience in conducting high-risk, sensitive or complex investigations, evidence gathering, including the use of investigative powers, investigative interviewing and obtaining statements from vulnerable complainants or witnesses promptly. A detailed understanding of the health environment is desirable but not essential. A relevant tertiary qualification in health (clinical or health practice), law and/or investigations-related field is considered highly desirable but not a requirement.
