Applications are now open for an experienced Mechanical reliability engineer which will be offered on an ongoing contract by our client. The Role:
This role is offered with one of the world's largest mining organisations on an ongoing contract basis, operating out of our clients mine site in South Australia. This role will be on a 7 days on, 7 days off FIFO roster, flying out of Adelaide airport.
Accountabilities for the role include but are not limited to:
- Undertake RCA (root cause analysis).
- Provide guidance to execution and engage discipline engineers and specialists as required to minimise downtime duration.
- Review and report on equipment performance results to support the Maintenance team(s) focusing on the correct priorities.
- Determine cost advantages of alternative solutions and develop action plans that comply with demands for safe, efficient and effective Maintenance & Repair.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong safety values.
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge regarding defect elimination on various equipment.
Experience and background required for this position:
- Proven experience with grinding, flotation, and concentrated leaching circuits.
- Five years combined experience working in the heavy industries sector, including; mining, oil & gas, power and energy.
- Proven equipment experience in the areas of pumps, pipes, valves, grinding mills, thickeners, conveyors, vibrating screens, tanks, agitators, hydraulic systems, filter presses.
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), or equivalent trade & industry experience to support the role.
- Working knowledge and understanding of SAP & Microsoft Office systems is highly desirable.
- Experience in maintenance and/or reliability engineering in the Fixed Plant Processing field within a mining environment.
