your responsibilities will include:
•Compiling and sorting medical records to be electronically tracked
•Medical record retrieval
•Internal and external phone and fax communication
•Provision of health information to internal and external clients
•Filing and culling of medical records
•Day to day functionality of the Health Information Service Department
•Participating in performance improvement activities
Essential Criteria:
•Authority to Work in Australia
•Proficient in use of email, web based applications and Microsoft Word and Excel
•Excellent communication and organisational skills
•Basic knowledge of medical terminology (Desirable)
•Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team environment
•Ability to work within deadlines
•Flexibility in responding to the changing needs of the business
•Commitment to document security and patient privacy
•Experience with the WebPAS patient information system (Desirable)
•Previous experience in a healthcare setting or record keeping environment (Desirable)
•Previous experience in Health Information Services (Desirable)
